Shot In The Head Lyrics: 9. and i am talking over 25 years ago, i probably would have sprung for this lp and the 45s years before the internet but as much as i love ac/dc they are not my favorite band of all time THE WHO, UFO AND SAXON are and belive me ( especially regarding the who) i have plucked down high high prices for 45s and lps but i feel unless you are a millionaire you cant have everything so i was so thrilled to see this get the proper cd release finally,, unlike other pre ac/dc related bands like the valentines and fraternity wich bon scott fronted in the late 60s and early 70s this is a real rock n roll record where i felt the bands bon fronted prior to joining ac/dc where more pop then rock, anyway this album is not a heavy record and do not expect it to sound like ac/dc malcom young played on most of these songs but angus did not even though he was there in the studio during this recording process, i think this record came out very good considering the press releases about how drunk everyone was during this recording, by listening to this product i would never have guessed that, this has a real good 70s rock feel to it, it is a bit of a mix of basic bar rock, juke box rock and regular 70s rock without the power ac/dc had, i can hear clearly on here that george young was hoping for some sort of hit to come of this that would have been radio friendly but i guess even though george had the clout in oz it just did not happen with this record and there deal was dropped by mid 1974 and this band was put away and forgotten about, in fact if ac/dc did not become such huge superstars im sure this would not even be seeing a reissue, the remastering is great, the cd version of this that came out in oz back in 1994 was more of a bootleg and i never bought it as i had heard the sound was awful on it so after 35 years im very pleased to own this now, i also just ordered the japanese edition as it has 2 more bonus tracks then this us version does, if you are a huge ac/dc freak who collects there stuff and you have to have everything THEN THIS BELONGS IN YOUR COLLECTION, next to the buster brown album from 1973 called something to say wich features phil rudd and angry anderson ( rose tattoo) this is the best next pre ac/dc album to get this was not heavy like buster brown where but like i said before this is great 70s rock n roll the way it should sound!!!!!
