This is classic seventies hard rock as it was meant to be heard! All in all, Deep Purple In Rock is a perfect ROCK album, a classic hard rock masterpiece. Can anybody help me please ?

If you have both like me, it is still great to have it in your collection. This version has the earlier HÖR ZU logo in two lines on labels and inside opening gatefold. I rank any cut from In Rock better than anything done previously including Hush. I have the anniversary UK edition and it sounds great so I expected the LP to sound even better, but instead the sound is flat, the songs are different in volume and it somehow doesn't rock. It`s sad, because this is a fantastic record. The Harvest label in usual design but red and it has EMI at the bottom with a single white rectangular box around it. I have a German pressing (072-91 442) and i hope that there are better pressings around compared to thisone. It's a shame, in some respects, for the reason that there was nothing wrong with this version of the group. The album is kicked off by one of the band's biggest hits, Speed King and it sounds as great as ever. The album is closed out with Hard Lovin' Man. 1. A TRUE CLASSIC!
I'm always wary about remastered CDs and if there is a definitive difference in the sound quality.
